MOVING CLOSER

Moving Closer is part of the larger PostProduzione (PostProduction) project, launched to investigate issues of conflict and memory. The performance involves some professional artists and participants in a short workshop aimed at citizenship, with particular regard to people Over60 people and Asylum Seekers. The project questions the distance between us, others and the environment around us. Body movement becomes the link between dancers and our varied society, to make the distance that separates the inside from the outside of the scene, fluid. In this context, the sound of space is picked up by panoramic microphones to have a direct reworking of it, and to create a collective “box of memories” where movement becomes a trait d’union: the border between what is inside and what is off stage opens a new look at the reality in which we live.

BIO

Andrea Gallo Rosso is a dancer and choreographer supported by the Centro Mosaico Danza since its debut. To date, he has been selected as an artist in residence at the Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Scenario Pubblico/CZD (National Center of Production of Dance in Public Scenario / CZD) directed by Roberto Zappalà. Between 2016 and 2017 he has been in residence at Clapspettacolodalvivo, Settimo Cielo / Teatro di Arsoli. In 2015 he has been co-produced by the West East Festival. In 2014 the work “I meet you … If you want” had its premiere at Made.it / Torinodanza Festival in collaboration with Interplay. He also participates in the traveling two-year tour DanceRoads 2014 – between Canada, England, Italy and Holland. His works has been selected for the Showcase of the Young Danza d’Autore 2014 and 2015 of the AnticorpiXL network and for Les Reperages / Rencontres internationales de la jeune choréographie 2013. He also won in 2013 DE.MO/MOVIN’UP by Mi.ACT and GAI.
