Conceived and directed by Francesca Foscarini and Cosimo Lopalco and enriched by the artistic contribution of ErGao and Noel Pong, Italy -Museum of Elsewhere is a contemporary dance, performance and installation art project that develops in several locations and works on the themes of the contemporary museum and the relationship between architectural space and the body. The artists, through the exploration of the historical-cultural identity of the country, measure themselves with the creation of a singular “museum” where the living body, in its intrinsic irreproducibility, becomes a work of art. The collection of works exhibited and staged explore Italian cultural history (the cinema of the early Pasolini, Fellini, the extraordinary art of Antonio Ligabue, Venice with its light, popular culture, its dialects, a certain clerical sleepiness with its bells, the ritual of coffee, card games), and is complemented by the valuable insight and ‘other’ taste of the Asian artists ErGao and Noel Pong with their particular idea of the country.

Francesca Foscarini Dancer, choreographer and teacher. Her training was marked by encounters with masters of the international scene with whom she was able to deepen her knowledge of the language of contemporary dance and improvisation, enriching and personalising her own expressive and interpretative language. She also enhances her choreographic research through various international projects in which she takes part (Migrant Body, ChoreoRoam, Diptych, Crisol).She has presented her works in many of the main Italian and European festivals.
Danza&Danza Award 2018 as “emerging choreographer” for the creations ‘Animale’ and ‘Oro. L’arte di resistere’ , the Positano Prize as “Dancer of the year on the contemporary scene” (2015).
Cosimo Lopalco writer, poet and dramaturg. As a dramaturg for dance, he collaborated with Francesca Foscarini on the creation of ‘Animale’, ‘Oro. L’arte di resistere’, ‘Punk Kill me Please’ and ‘LANDing’, an interdisciplinary workshop inspired by the principles of psychogeography. He curated the dramaturgy of Appreciation Society (Spring Forward Areowaves 2019) by Giuliana Majo and he’s currently working with F.Foscarini and T. Androva on ‘In Between Anita’, a choreographic project produced by Tanec Praha Festival.
