Villaggio d’Artista is once again proposed as a Community Festival. This year other Municipalities have approached the project, from Lake Maggiore but also from Lake of Orta, and host performances or share itinerant workshops with us, they propose themselves as co-planning partners and support the Festival on various levels. A community that more and more clearly finds its headquarters at the Teatro Maggiore in Verbania, a project partner that includes more than 50 artists involved in the workshops, in the performances and in the residencies for the creation of the CROSS project. A community made up of an enthusiast local jury that for months has accompanied us on this path, but also by institutions, sponsors and volunteers. In total this year we present 1 workshop and 1 symposium, 3 major events for the general public, 3 performances of dance and contemporary theatre at the Il Maggiore Theatre, 2 contemporary dance solos at the Cloister of the Museo del Paesaggio, 1 dance evening with DJ set, 4 residences for Cross-award finalists. A series of side events, aperitifs and moments to get to know each other, share thoughts and plan the future.
