CROSS Festival presents itself to the public with an articulated calendar of dance and multidisciplinary performances in the open air, in the theatre, in unusual places and in several towns in the Province of VCO.
CROSS Festival is now an important action because it underlines the fact that the cultural sector exists and claims its existence and its primary role in the life of the community.
We are reinventing ourselves through true collaboration with people from all over the world. It is not easy, there will have to be a reconstruction of the local system. The citizen currently does not think of art as essential in his/her life: we will do our utmost to subvert this belief.
The 2021 edition will be an extraordinary one, the crisis of the Coronavirus pandemic has accelerated the need for a stronger and more penetrating relationship between Society and Culture, Business and Territory. CROSS Festival has also undergone a radical transformation in the light of the Covid 19 pandemic, so we have set up our projects with the main objective of keeping alive and constant attention on the importance of culture as a tool for emancipation and as an engine of a new welfare.

Attention to the protection of human rights, the valorisation of differences, the health and safety of people, the protection of the environment, with particular reference to the issue of climate change and the valorisation of the landscape and territories are essential conditions for any development hypothesis.

Apart from the inevitable changes in the general programme, CROSS FESTIVAL 2021 is a widespread programme that offers space to national and international artists and companies. Each performance is conceived as a poetic encounter, a moment of reflection, often accompanied by a talk with the artists or an expert in the field. Wherever possible, walkways will be encouraged, every venue will be accessible and vouchers will be distributed to facilitate the participation of fragile categories. We have always collaborated, but we are making stronger and more lasting pacts with our territorial partners and with the many local organisations (associations, foundations, cooperatives) with which we want to imagine a better future together.
